I am hand cutting some dovetails, the darn things can drive ya' crossed eyed. So while try to regain focus, I shall do as requested. A link to the Wray Post, is now sitting as a little house underneath my "mugshot". It is rather boring this week, so please do not go there. I'll let ya' all know when there is something good there. May not be too soon, though. The feller that runs it is kind of doof. ;D

Hi Bob, thanks for putting the link, I was looking for words and didn't realise it was the little house sat there... call me stupid, but I learn something new every day. I see this thread has gone on to it's second page which is a nuisance, so shall you start another or shall I? Shall it be dovetails or scarecrows?

Greetings from Auckland! I am most interested in knowing whether there is still a Monumental Inscription about the Salisburys in the Tatham church (or is it the Tatham Fell church??). I would be extremely obliged if someone could copy out the text of the inscription. There is another at Lancaster Priory, showing four generations of the family. You may be interested too that the Littledale Chapel not far away is also connected with our family. Edward Salisbury of Slaidburn moved to Lancaster in the 1760s, following his children. Later his son Edward married Elizabeth Dodson, and their daughter Elizabeth married her first cousin, Rev John Dodson, who resigned from his post at thingyerham church in 1849 (overthe Gorham controversy), and formed a Free Church at Littledale, where he served for 30 years. They are both buried there next to the chapel. I hope this finds you well, God bless and thanks.... Kevin Salisbury
