The website got a query from a lady called Glenda Burke, can anyone help her? Quote: I live on a cattle farm in Australia. My great grandmother came from around your way. She was born in a place called Scale, down the road from Wray. Is that anywhere near your farm? I don't know anything about Scale, wether its even a town or a farm or what. Just that she was born there back in the 1850's.

So are you related to Charles Conder? The feller that drew this?

Hi, think we be, we have our family tree back to 1426 and there are lots of Charles Conders in it. If you could give me more details I could check it out if you are really curious... Chris.

I am trying to find information about my family who lived in Wray through generations. I know that my great grandparents lived there until the late 1880s. My great-grandmother's name was originally Elizabeth Clarkson, and my great-grandfather was Anthony Lucas. The little bit I know is that one member, perhaps his father, was a hatter. Anthony and his wife left in the latter part of the 19th century to work in the US silk mills. While in Wray, I believe they had a couple of children already. If anyone knows any more information I would love to hear it. I am planning a trip there this summer with my father. Thank you!
